這首歌曲是美國的Bread（麵包合唱團）在1971年《MANNA》專輯裡的一首歌，當時是排行榜連續幾週的冠軍歌曲。
而被莫文蔚翻唱成為《求婚事務所》電視劇原聲帶的插曲。
Bread呈現的唱法比較滄桑，莫文蔚則比較柔和，空心木吉他伴奏加上低沉感性的聲音，很有味道。

「If a face could launch a thousand ships」這段歌詞，是引用《荷馬史詩》裡頭，特洛伊戰爭裡面海倫(Helen)的故事。
大致就是說因為海倫的美貌，才發動這次的戰爭(所以歌詞才會寫道，有千百艘船起航)。這段歌詞的引用，很有意思。
